Senior Horizontal CNC programmer
We are hiring a senior horizontal CNC programmer. Relocation is covered for the right candidate. Do not apply unless you have at least three years of horizontal CNC programming experience.
The role supports peers on setups and first articles on horizontal and vertical CNC machines for high-precision components. Fixture design, production machining, and R&D machining are part of the job. The programmer keeps production running and helps the people around them grow.
Duties
- Program and optimize horizontal and vertical CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Perform setups and first articles, and support peers doing the same.
- Develop fixturing, optimize existing programs, and improve lights-out production.
- Support engineering by making R&D parts and giving manufacturing feedback.
- Troubleshoot CNC issues during production.
- Work with engineering and production to improve process and quality.
- Keep accurate records of machine performance and quality inspections.
Requirements
- Senior-level horizontal CNC programming in Mastercam.
- Advanced fixture design and first-article work.
- Improve existing programs, quality, and cycle times.
- Support QC so inspection processes stay adequate.
- Clear communication with the people on the floor.
- Automation and robotics experience is a plus.
Hours are flexible. Family needs are treated as a priority.
