Many Foxtrot Mike firearms and serialized receivers must transfer through a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). This page explains the basics for online buyers.
Why an FFL is required
Federal law prohibits shipping firearms to individuals who do not hold an active FFL. Online firearm purchases are shipped to a dealer near you. You complete required transfer paperwork with the dealer and pay any transfer fees the dealer charges.
How checkout works
- Add FFL-required items to your cart (product pages note when a licensed dealer is required).
- At checkout, select or provide your preferred receiving FFL when prompted.
- We may contact and verify the FFL before shipping.
- When the dealer receives the shipment, they will contact you to complete the transfer (background check / Form 4473 as required).
Buyer responsibilities
- Confirm your dealer will accept the transfer before you order.
- Be of legal age and otherwise eligible to possess the firearm under federal, state, and local law.
- Pay any dealer transfer fees separately from your Foxtrot Mike order total unless otherwise stated.
Mixed carts
Carts may include both FFL-required and non-FFL items. Firearms still ship to your dealer; accessories may ship to a residential address when allowed. Follow on-screen instructions at checkout.
