Folding, and firing folded
A standard AR-15 cannot fold because the buffer tube is the rear of the action. The MIKE-15 (originally called FM-15) puts the recoil assembly in the upper. The stock can fold, and the rifle can fire folded. The Foldy Boi 9mm uses a folding ambi lower for the same compact carry idea.
What RMB is
RMB is Foxtrot Mike’s recoil mitigation buffer for blowback 9mm guns (VFM-9 and related PCCs). Straight blowback 9mm ARs can feel sharp. The RMB is the factory answer to that, not a generic carbine buffer.
