At the core of the RMB is a finely tuned reciprocating mass that eliminates bolt bounce - a long-standing issue in traditional blowback-operated PCCs. FM performed extensive reliability and bolt bounce testing using a 5" VFM-9 Upper Receiver, longer barrels may perform differently. The best recoil mitigation is achieved with a shorter barrel, no +P or +P+ ammo was used during testing. At its core is the Mike-9 Fully Ambidextrous Folding Complete Lower Receiver, a Glock magazine-compatible AR-style lower that features a patented bolt hold-open mechanism-engineered for reliability beyond the common bent sheet metal designs. Built from billet aluminum, this lower now includes Foxtrot Mike’s patented folding stock adapter, machined directly into the receiver for unmatched durability and compactness. The integrated latch system securely locks the stock in place during operation while allowing for an 8-inch reduction in overall length when folded-ideal for transport and storage. Full ambidextrous controls include the safety selector, bolt catch, and magazine release.

Paired with this lower is the VFM-9 Dual Charging Upper Receiver, Foxtrot Mike’s most accessible upper yet, combining affordability with uncompromised performance. Featuring a 5.2” 41V50 steel barrel with a 1/2-28 thread, the VFM-9 is built for precision and longevity, offering a service life exceeding 10,000 rounds. Its thermal-fit barrel design eliminates the need for a complex barrel nut, reducing production costs and weight while maintaining superior accuracy. A simplified handguard attachment reduces fasteners from eight to two, streamlining the assembly without sacrificing quality.
